Help I cant add more than 10 contacts for SMS

Hello all, Ive just received my new Galaxy S yesterday and I must say I am pretty thrilled. However I cannot send the same text message to all of my contacts. When I go above 10 it says it cant send to more than 10 contacts.

Is this problem related to

1. Samsung ?
2. Android ?
3. Or my Mobile Carrier....which is Optus in Australia.

Well, it isn't 3. Same result on Vodafone UK.
