Root i cant figuure out how to root my mez

OK, I finally got z4root on my phone. But it wont complete.

same problem i'm having below:

i installed it on my samsung mesmorize and it first freezed my phone, then i reinstalled it and now it stopped at "running exploit in order to obtain root access...". i rebooted the phone, took out the battery and everything and its still at "running exploit bla bla bla..." i have android 2.2. what can be the problem?

Any help would be awesome

z4root was written for 2.1, and it has not been updated (nor is it being supported any more). You're better off, most likely, finding a root utility that will work with Froyo (2.2).

I use SuperOneClick 1.7. Run it from Windows. I hook my mesmerize up to the computer using the USB cable with USB debugging on.

Thanks! How do you run Super One Click with the Mezmerize? Is it as "universal" or as "Samsung Captivate"? I know the Captivate and the Mezmerize are sibling phones.
