Root I Can't Find A Download Link For Any Of The Rom's I Want To Use On My Photon

So I have been spending a good amount of hours on here and xda today trying to find custom ROM's and such to play with on my Photon since it is no longer a phone that I use. Now there are some really awesome ones out there but the links just don't work for downloading anymore. I had wanted to try the JellyBean leak CM10 I believe is how it is stated. Anyways, I got nowhere with it because not all of the required files are available for download anymore.

I am beginning to think that the phone is to old at this point and that all the dev's have moved on and not only stopped hosting the files but also have stopped creating new ROM's. This is simply a play toy for me now and while I have a theme on my Photon that I really like, there are actual ROM's out there that are similar but only better in my opinion that I would really love to try.

Any help in this matter would be AWESOME! I really have looked over all of the rooted threads that pertain to custom ROM's for the Photon and really have not had much luck.

I do have to ask in addition to this, when I do find a ROM that I want to flash and I'm able to, since I'm on a theme right now do I have to wipe the way all the instructions say I need to? I have ROM manager and boot strap so that way I don't break anything on the phone like all the warnings say about getting clock work mod and unlocking the boot loader. It's just that part confuses me just slightly. Instead of using ROM manager to get into boot mode I use the other method to get there. Am I still able to flash ROM's the right way by using that method?

Well since I don't root, or flash roms, I am not qualified to say yes, or no, but I did want to view your thread to find out if there was any way I might be able to help, or even maybe learn something myself about this issue. I am sure that those of us who viewed this thread would have answered if we knew how to help. Sorry.:(

If you're not finding any active links on XDA, then I'm not sure where you would look. What ROMs in particular are you looking for?

You don't want Alien (very old code). CM7, I know cybik and know his links work. CM9, CM10, I know joker as well but know the site is down however there are mirrors if you read the threads in development section on xda.

So...I have been roaming all over the internet trying to find a download link for Joker's build of ICS which I believe would be CM9? Anyways his site is down and it's possible from what I've heard that it might not be back up. I just want ICS!!! Does anyone have the zip file that they would be willing to send me so I can download it and get rolling on this? I tried CM7 and not only am I not a fan but even though I could move thru the screens and such I kept getting the force close pop up for android system.

Help here would be AWESOME!!!

Not sure if I went to that exact forum thread but I got jellybean on my photon . I'm not sure if I have it exaactly right but I do love jellybean. I will post my question on a more appropriate thread but iI'll post it here too.

I wiped everything I was supposed to then flashed jellybean, then put gapps on, then I went for it on reboot. Iget the cynagen mod splash screen. When I went back and flashed the fix for that so I could have the jellybean splash screen it got stuck on that screen. The jellybean splash screen that is. So I re flashed everything but that part and it all works just fine now. But my signal is broken. Any ideas?

Lokifish might have an idea if he pops back in, but since I haven't messed with the JB ROMS I got nuthin'. Sorry. Probably better to post on XDA or see if anyone else had the issue from the JB thread I linked above.

So my signal isn't all the way broken. I get roaming, and I get fantastic wifi. Now I do have to add that I no longer have sprint service, I'm in Arizona, and until I installed this jelly bean ROM,I still had signal to my surprise and it wasn't roaming. I haven't had sprint in months. I've talked a little bit to the dev that made thus jelly bean , and while he is helping as much as he can,I still feel like I'm not getting the whole picture across floor the answers I'm looking for. I guess that's all for now.
