I can't find some files

I've got some music on my phone and when I use a music player I can look at the location of the file. It says it's on my SD card (/storage/extSdCard/Music/Cage the Elephant). However, when I plug my phone into my computer and go to the location it specifies it is not there. I can still play the song so it is still on my phone somewhere. I can't find it. Where could it be?

Download a file explorer like "FX File Explorer", then try going to the place where these songs are. If you can locate them, try moving them to your internal storage.

try using a program like Airdroid this allows you to view the content on your device further than just the internal sdcard.
