IIRC, you've not long flashed a different ROM, haven't you? I was having some intermittent sound issues myself when I was on CM10.1 - a full wipe and reflashing a different ROM solved the problem for me

If you did the LTE enablement piece and you're on T-Mo, it's a known issue that T-Mo users have to flash the T-Mo audio fix.
