Help I can't put anything on my external SD card.

Whenever I try to transfer anything to my SD card it doesn't actually put any files onto the external SD card.

I've been playing Hearthstone, and the file size is gigantic. I need to free up some space, but my inability to transfer files is limiting my available space.

Is there a fix for this?

You'll also need an app to move the data since the stock app move only moves the apk and libs. Link2SD will move the OBB file, which is where Hearthstones bulk is.

Found out that this program I previously stated does all that

Ah... I thought you probably just linked one of the SD patchers. Just took a look at this... It seems to want a second partition to do anything. Link2SD will at least do OBB, external data, and cache without that. Also the ads are insane!

How do I add writing permissions? I've never done any of this before.
If you are using the app Sykknyzz posted, just go down to sdfix on the main menu.

As for the rest, Link2SD is much simpler to use, and will let you move what you specifically said you needed to move without having to mess with partitions.

I just thought to check, moving OBB files is a paid function, so there's that...

The sdfix does nothing. It says that the fix was applied, but it still doesn't let me move anything to the external SD card. I am not sure if it matters, but my phone has 2 partitions to INTERNAL storage. This 2nd partition is labeled emulated/0. So what I believe is happening is that when I do the SD fix it is reading the emulated/0 as if it was my external SD.

I just purchased Link2SD, and I have no idea how to even use it. If I'm using it right every guide keeps telling me that I need to make a partition, but when I make a partition it keeps telling me that that there is a "mount script error."

You don't need to make a partition move the OBB file in Hearthstone, which is the only thing you need move, as far as what you've mentioned. Just tap Hearthstone, scroll down to the bottom of the window, and link the OBB file.

What have you been trying make a partition with?

Go on the play store and just search sdfix to find an app to take care of the write permissions.

Hearthstone is about 3gb or so. I linked hearthstone's OBB file, and that moved about. It downloads other files when you open it up, and has another 1.7gb or so of stuff in my phone. How do I switch that?

Edit: Hearthstone moves all the files when you open it up again.

I think it's all fixed now. Thank you so much. I private messages you months ago. I think it was miscommunication because I was unaware that I needed the paid version of link2sd.

Had to go back and look for your pm, lol. Fortunately all the big data chunks in Hearthstone are able to be moved without the second partition.
