I can't send messages, unless I'm in my house.

For the last few days my messages are not being sent when I'm not in my house. My little boy has been playing around with the phone so I have no idea if maybe he's changed some settings...

That's odd. I'm not sure there is a setting to send only on wifi. Have you checked your messaging settings? Also maybe contact or go into your carrier and see if they can figure it out.

I think I have figured out what the problem is. I got an email the other day asking me about some suspicious activity which I didn't recognize at that point, so I blocked it. I think I have blocked access from my own phone

Does that make any sense?

Now, how do I undo that??

From...? I'm guessing Google.

Yes--if you're only having the problem on the phone, and when you're in your house you're using another device to send messages. Otherwise, no.

I think logging in to your Google account is the next step, assuming of course that that's who the email was from. Go to its 'Security' settings and find its list of your devices. Anything peculiar should show up there. You will probably need to jump through their hoops for recovery, verifying it's really you, etc. If you need help getting there, let us know!

When you referred to 'messages' is that a reference to email messages or texting messages, or both? Also, are you having any problems with anything else that relies on online access? (i.e. any social media apps, Youtube app, Netflix app, etc.)

Yo clarify:

The problemsI had so far are to send text messages outside home but also to install apps and to access Gmail. I don't use my phone that much when I'm out so I don't know if there are more problems I haven't noticed yet.

When I mention the suspicious activity warning, yes, that was from Gmail.
