Help I can't send or receive text messages

I've had my Admire for a little over a month now, and I haven't done anything major to it (I've only downloaded three apps and the GBA emulator from the app store.) I haven't had any problems with it until yesterday afternoon, when my phone stopped sending and receiving texts. I know this because my mother was apparently trying to reach me by text and after a few hours finally called me. I hadn't received any of her texts, and when I tried to send her one, she called me back about 30 minutes later and said she never received it. Another thing I have noticed is that my 3G is suddenly just...gone. The icon is gone from my toolbar. I'm not sure if these two problems are related or not. I was never out of signal range while this was occurring; and the problem has persisted since yesterday. I haven't changed any settings, and while I was searching through my phone status, I noticed that it said I am no longer connected to the mobile service (I'm not sure if this is normal or not, I've never paid much attention to it.) I'm not very tech savvy, so again I haven't done anything to my phone, and it is still in service as the bill isn't due until the 28th. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Are you sure you didn't accidentally turn data off with an app or something?
