Help I disabled wallpaper - now a major problem!

Hello.

I'm a reasonably experienced HTC Sensation user - but clearly not as smart as I thought lol!! I was trying to squeeze a bit more performance out of it and was playing with disabling various options. A few days ago I replaced HTC Sense with Apex and it runs brilliantly. One thing I noticed was that when I wentf from the Task Manager app back to the homescreen I saw the wallpaper before it hit the homescreen which has no colour set and is black. I thought I'd try disabling wallpaper which I reckoned would stop me seeing the wallpaper when I went from Task Manager to homescreen but now ..... I get nothing!!! Well almost nothing!!

Out came the battery etc etc etc and each time the same result.

Turn it on and it goes straight to a screen just with the notification bar there. It has battery icon, bluetooth, network etc but the rest of the screen is blank. When I phone my phone I can't answer it and in the notification bar it shows the missed call icon.

When I pull down the notification bar I see all the usual things and from the quick settings I can turn them on and off but nothing ever comes up on the main body of the screen and none of the buttons at the bottom of the phone do anything!!

I've done the 'battery out/battery in, hold volume at minimum and press power button' procedure to take me to the factory reset options. I've tried 'recovery' which brings it back the same. I've also tried 'fastboot' and that also brings it back the same.

Any ideas anybody - other than a factory reset that is???

Your advice much appreciated.

Phil

If you had USB debugging enabled, you could have fixed it, you could have re-enabled the package via adb shell.

I have stupidly done this too! Can you suggest to me the adb commands to allow me to reenable the service?

Many Thanks
