Android Update Question

Guest
Hello.

I was wondering if someone could help me figure out how to switch my phone back to the previous update. Even if there is a way to cover, if you will, the new version with an old version look a like.

All in all I really miss the setup of the old version and can't stand this one's. My Dad agrees completely with me.

Yeah, I hate it when Mike get's "sarky". :p ;) :D

Generally speaking, once a system update has been applied to an Android device, it overwrites system files and there is no easy way to roll-back a device to a previous version. With some devices, it is possible to flash older firmware and get your phone using an earlier version. There are a couple of problems with that. First you have to root your phone and in most cases void the warranty. Next you have to make sure there is an EXACT match of the firmware you want. It must match your phone and carrier or it's going to a.) not work or, b.) kill your phone. Finally, assuming you do root and find the right file and read through the 847 steps and watch the 92 YouTube videos on how to do it ;), AND you do it all successfully, as soon as you setup your phone, you'll start getting the update notices again.

If you are really sure that's something you want to pursue, we can certainly help you out, but in that case we will need exact model/version numbers. :)

What is the mobile model and specifications you have on your phone?
