I download an app and it creates a homescreen shortcut

Not sure why but for the last few days whenever I download a new app I get a message saying that a shortcut is being created, followed by another that says there's no room on the homescreen for the shortcut. Anybody else seeing this? What can I do to disable this?

I've read too many threads in the last few days, but I did see there's a setting to turn off auto shortcuts.

You'll probably find the setting before I could find the thread.

When you are in the Google Play store, push the settings button at the bottom left then go to settings. Uncheck the box that says auto-add widgets.
