What I've seen on many sites in the passed few years, and have used for my Wacom stylus, is this advice: take it apart and set it in a tub of rice so that it can dry out fully. Give it a couple days. The rice absorbs the water and it will be grounded (aka no potential static). Usually phones can dry out with no hitches. If you don't want to take it apart yourself, find someone you trust with being savvy enough to do it for you, or take it to a good phone repair shop. Do your research and make sure you find a highly reviewed place. Without taking it apart, it may be longer before it dries out completely. Having the innards air out will give you a better chance of it working properly again.
