I finally bid farewell to my Nexus 6P

It's been a fun run with Nexus 6P but I've FINALLY moved on.

I hadn't felt a huge desire to switch away from the 6P because it did everything I wanted so darn well. I was tempted by the much improved cameras on devices launched after it but loved the 6P so much that I stuck around for much longer than I anticipated.

And then my screen cracked. I even rocked the broken screen for awhile, but ultimately decided I would wait forever if I was waiting for something "revolutionary" rather than pick the best phone currently available.

So now I've rocking the Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus and will be mostly scouring those forums:

Anyone else still rocking the 6P and looking to make a change soon? Or recently switched away?

I'm following this thread but removing from it from my favorite forums... farewell (for now)!

UPDATE: I say "rocking" too much.

I'm still hanging onto my 6P. I got it at release. Had the battery replaced a few months ago after i heavily started experiencing that early shutdown. I feel the device starting to feel sluggish for some reason. I was hoping to get more life out of it. I'm sure I'll get a new one in a few years.

Hey there @Rob long time no see. Google replaced mine about a year ago due to the early battery shutdown thingeo. Been running a Pixel XL ever since and it's quite similar in it's form and function. I dropped the XL awhile back, ribbon cable connecting the battery came loose unbeknownst to me making me think I had yet another premature battery failure. Took it apart, broke the screen in the process, plugged the cable back in and replaced the screen...like a brand new old one now. :D

So now I'm waiting for a new device to wow me without costing eleventy hundred dollars. As such, I'll probably be keeping this one for an oddly long period of time. Or until the next homebrew fix it attempt gone wrong by yours truly.

Hope all is well.

It's only been started production back in late 2015. If I had it I probably'dd bought it in early 2017 and I would use it till early-mid 2019

Haven't been here in a while, but I am most definitely still rocking my Nexus 6p which I bought in January of 2017. As @Skittles suggested, I expect it to last me through 2019. I love this phone!

I loved my 6P until it started having the battery issue.

Been loving the Pixel XL Google sent me as a replacement though...

I bought a OnePlus 6T a few months ago. I like the phone but i miss the screen real estate of the 6P. Definitely going to get a QHD on my next phone.
