Help I hate kies

Seriously, how bloody difficult is it for SAMSUNG to write a neat little interface program that your phone can EASILY connect to to manage??? Is this too much to ask?? I am a software developer, I work with technology everyday and can not get my phone to connect either via USB or via KIES. BUT... I have connected it before. "Sometimes" it connects, other times it doesn't (more often the latter).

Dear Samsung,

Ditch this CRAP bit of software and write something decent and reliable!

not kies...

i had similar problems and emailed samsung who replied with a long list of causes, none of which are kies apparently. already done most but had i carried out their insructions to the letter a whole day would be needed sat at pc and very unlikely that it would fix problem.
