I have a dead pixel

I'm going to contact them tomorrow morning but I'm not holding much hope for a replacement.

I remember years ago my psp had three dead pixels. Sony said it needed a minimum four pixels to warrant a replacement.

That would suck considering you look at the phone a lot. I'd say if they don't return it, you find a way to break it and then tell them it just died. :D

Let me know what they do for you.
I'll do the same.
Great phone, but this pixel is quite annoying.
I had perfect pixels on 5 straight nexus 4s, and a bad one on my only 5. That figures.

Maybe just bad luck, cause you are the first case like this I hear about.

May I ask how to know if there is a dead pixel? Thanks. It's never happened to me before so I want to know how to look for it:)

Ok, so I rang Google, and they're going to replace it. Pretty happy with that. As annoying as it is, you cant ask for anymore than a swap.

To the person who asked what a dead pixel looks like, in this case it was a little black dot. At first I thought it was a speck of dust, but after wiping the screen it was still there. Dead pixels aren't always black from my experience. Thy can be green too.

Replacement phone arrived. No dead pixels! And also no rattle as well. The defected phone's power button would rattle. Seems like i had a dud for sure.

Props to Google though. Said the replacement would ship by the 23rd, I received it on the 18th, my birthday. lol it's as if google knew! :-P

Yep, I had the same, although a stuck pixel for me.

I contacted Google asking if there was anything I could try to sort it, specifically saying I wasn't looking to replace the phone for 1 stuck pixel.

After letting them know their suggestions didn't work they offered to replace. It seemed a bit petty, but if they're willing to do it then why not.

Phone arrived today, although I was not there to receive it.
