I cannot find the OEM Lock/Unlock function on my Android device. How do I get that function?
Is it a SM-A102U (US carrier model) or a SM-A102U1 (unlocked model)? US carrier Samsungs tend to be lock-down very hard and be either difficult or impossible to root, and those instructions do say that they are only for the unlocked model. I would not expect the carrier version to include an OEM unlock switch, but if it is there it will be in the Developer Options menu; if you have looked there and it isn't present then there probably isn't a way.

If your primary interest is in rooting it's usually a good idea to check whether root methods exist before buying the phone. But a rule of thumb is that North American Samsungs are often difficult to root, so you need to be extra careful there.

Locked with MetroPCs

How do I unlock it?

I have unlocked it

I have tried all of what that article said. Nothing works.

Model Number: SM-A102U
One UI Version: 1.1
Android Version 9

How I can find the OEM Unlock/Lock Option?

How can I jailbreak?

Presumably something worked if you have unlocked the bootloader?

So maybe tell us, step-by-step, what you have done and what actually happened? "Nothing works" doesn't tell us why, so more information will be needed to work out why. But since that recipe was only for the unlocked model (meaning unlocked from the factory) there is no guarantee.

Please I need your help? Could you send me a photo of where the OEM Unlock/Lock Option will be located.
To enable developer options:
1. Go to your phones Settings menu.
2. Tap About Phone.
(some phones will have it in a different but similar location)
3. Repeatedly tap the build number until it says you are a developer.
4. The developer option will now be in your phones Settings menu.

When you tap developer options the OEM unlock selection is near the top, you don't have to scroll down.

Mod note - I merged two threads and combined triple/quadruple posts to clean up.

It looks like everyone who has answered you so far doesn't know much about this topic, because "OEM Unlock" doesn't exist on phones from the US. That's only for international versions, from other countries.

However, there IS a way to do the bootloader unlock, as long as the phone isn't running the very newest/latest software version. So what's the Baseband Version on the device? You can find that under Settings-->About-->Software Information

That's useful to know, thanks. :)

Of course that's something I've never actually seen for myself.
