Help I have a odd issue with my phone

Ok so I had my phone reflashed via sbf and had to get verizon to reactivate it since I'm roaming now for some reason (he said it was a switch board error right now which is causing it to roam and why I had to get them to reactivate it). But I can't even check to see if I have a update ready for my phone (the check update button is darkened out so i can't pick it), And ideas why this is?

[EDIT]...ok never mind, now it wants to work please close this. Kinda funny really haha I ask for advice and the phone then wants to work.
