I have an OLD VZW unlimited data plan. AM i overpaying?

SO......I have had an old, grandfathered unlimited data plan for years. I use 50 to 60 gigs a month. Youtube, torrents, porn, spotify, siriusxm. My monthly bill is 102 bucks altogether. A few others swear their service(tmobile, boost, sprint, whatever) is just as good, and much cheaper.
I do not get throttled, my service is fast as a speeding bullet, even in the middle of nowhere. Only problems with dropped calls happen when I am in a big concrete building. The extended battery may be at fault for that.

So is it time to move on? Ive been happy with my service for years.

VZW is offering unlimited data for new subscribers again....but at a higher price than what I pay.

Reception in every area is different - if other carriers have great coverage where you are switching might be worthwhile. Do the people you've talked to also live in your city?

De-prioritization after 20GB+ is pretty common on unlimited data plans right now. I believe most carriers and MVNOs have some sort of de-prioritization clause when on busy towers. So slower speeds will also depend on your local towers.

I am going to say that you don't have a really bad plan; the price is a little high, but sometimes it's worth it to pay for something that doesn't give you any hassles!

I've found that the XXL Plan (16GB plus rollover data PLUS bonus data) is plenty for us. And out bill dropped significantly from the cost of our old 4-line unlimited plan. Do the comparison: based on how much data you actually use each month, it may be worth you while to switch.
