I have NO clue what I'm doing

Lol err yeah unfortunately I don't know everything and you can't get smiles icons and auto caps on what?

Okay try clicking an external link not the browser itself. I just tried and it worked. Also if that doesn't work try OperaBridge that app can also make opera the default browser.
 
Download OperaBridge and try a web link from one of the apps that should bring up the option to make opera the default browser.
1024 kb = 1 mb
 
Uggg! I have got to be doing somethin incorrectly!!! In my manage apps in settings still says "no defaults set". Do I've got to do something else besides click on it????
 
Click on a web link from one of the apps. Do you have the amazon mp3 app? If so click on it when its starts, on the bottom there will be a link to the terms of service agreement click on that and it should take you to the web browser. Before it takes you to the web browser the option to choose a default browser should pop up check always remember and choose opera.
1GB = 1024MB or 1000MB
 
Did you click on the link? did the browser option to choose a default browser pop up? If it worked then opera browser should be your default browser now. Beyond that I'm not sure. I downloaded opera browser and OperaBridge just to test if it worked and its working on my phone but then again I'm on a custom ROM maybe it doesn't work on stock twiz.

OperaBridge doesn't make opera default it makes opera bridge the default of which is just a link to opera. Also not to mention can only be set through something like Gmail or whatever has a link.

Yea I found that out. But, the app Make Opera Default Browser seems to work I have it install and it has made opera the default browser for me. Every time I click on the browser it takes me to opera. I ran some tests and when I bring anything up that has to do with the default browser it over writes the stock browser and takes me to opera instead. Oh and by the way based on using opera for a little while I say opera is better then skyfire. There are a couple of bugs in skyfire that slow it down a bit sometimes. Opera is very fast.
 
It doesn't work for me either. When I hit browser it sends me to the stock(original) browser. I've tried both make opera and bridge with no luck. Now i can't even post a reply!:mad: Im on stock browser right now because of this!!!!
 
I'm not sure what's wrong, make opera default browser seems to work fine for me, But if it's not working for you I suggest you uninstalled both make opera default browser and operabridge.

What ROM are you using? and I agree I love the fastness of Opera but they need to make it have the ability to be default browser without the use of a 2nd app
 
Don't know what a ROM is... But whatever can with the phone. I don't have a computer to change the ROM, but boss says he would meet up with me in a couple of weeks to change it.

A Custom ROM is simply mobile phone software modified by developers and not official manufactured software made for users to get more out of their phone. It makes your phone faster, more open, customizable than just editing wallpapers... and so on... Also like upgrading your phone with upgraded software if any... And cool hopefully by then BH_Man can cook up the 2.1 android rom by then because it would be awesome to use flash in the web browsers, play more games on the go etc.

I'm using BH_Man's Behold 2 1.6 no twiz. I'm on the latest update Warheads.

I just got Make Opera default browser do its action lol I had to update to BH_Man's latest kernal after flashing WarHeads Custom Rom because without doing so will leave your phone with a load of force closes and freezes.

Nice to see Make Opera default browser is working for someone other then me :) Yea i was getting a lot of force closes on WarHeads but the latest kernal fix that.
