I have problem in installing adt to eclipse

I install the zip file of ADT and go to eclipse and click help -> install new software ... then I get the following error

Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found.
Software being installed: Android Development Tools 12.0.0.v201106281929-138431 (com.android.ide.eclipse.adt.feature.group 12.0.0.v201106281929-138431)
Missing requirement: Android Development Tools 12.0.0.v201106281929-138431 (com.android.ide.eclipse.adt.feature.group 12.0.0.v201106281929-138431) requires 'org.eclipse.gef 0.0.0' but it could not be found

Looks like it requires org.eclipse.gef (no idea what that is). If that computer has internet access, why don't you follow the google tutorial for installing adt (ADT Plugin for Eclipse | Android Developers) using Eclipse's "Install new software" feature?

I had this same problem. I had recently downloaded eclipse 3.7 and jdk 7.0.

I was able to solve the problem by simply moving the eclipse folder directly into my c:/ directory.

thank god for you have been tring to install this for ages cheers now just have to work out how to build a app ...ps any 1 no how to make a app open by default with google maps
