I have what some would deem a silly question

I am new to android. Have had blackberry's but as of recent -Came over from a iphone 3gs.

To my ? - Every time someone posts after install.... you will see - you need to reboot or reset.

Is this a simple power off or a battery pull (Which I would call a hard reboot).

With the iphone you can power off or the the two button "thing" for a hard reboot.

I have been powering off... should I be doing a battery pull?

power off ... you don't need to do that for an app install. only for some significant change.
