I believe Harmonia by default uses the stock kernel, so no problems there... and that's about it. I'd highly recommend you get 4EXT or S-OFF. Also, the stock ROM will be compatible (obviously).

I can't recommend getting S-off highly enough. If you remain S-on you'll be stuck with the stock hboot and radio, and will be plagued with issues until Virgin Mobile/HTC release an update. Which I don't think will happen for awhile.

I have been using midnight ROM for the longest. I don't have a computer so I can't s-off so midnight ROM is your best choice just boot the image first so your WiFi works

I highly recommend s off. Once you have done that you can completely get rid of the radio interface errors and improve signal as well as reduce fluctuations but all you have to do is flash harmonia while s off and these tweaks are already there for you thanks to Leslie Ann :)

To be honest I am on S-ON and have the TWRP recovery as well, and I have been able to use MidnightRom, MobsterRom, and Harmonia. They are all really good and amazing ROMs! :D

You don't really need to get S-OFF to get rid of the radio interface errors. Well I didn't at least.

Me too. Ive had the Evo for a month with zero radio errors. I use 4EXT and can boot into MidnightRom, MobsterRom, and Harmonia with no problem. ;)

Yes you do. Nothing else is a proven fix and you will still suffer from signal loss regardless of whether or not you see the error messages.

S-off and flashing a radio is the only proven fix that will completely fix your device.

Well for me I have no problem. I send and receive SMS and MMS without any delay. I call without it doping. and my signal dose not flicker. Sorry but for me its a no. I guess I just got lucky.

How??? Step by step, if you can!
I just download the ROM you want, put in root of SD card, Boot into Bootloader, then click fastboot with my USB connected so it says in (RED) FAST BOOT USB, then from the Bootloader boot into recovery then just flash. This works for me without having S-OFF or 4EXT and everything seems to work.

I did install midnight rom, i like it! But i don't think i am using the anthrax kernel. no-frills won't let me overclock! My question is, if i but 4EXT recovery with midnight work 100%? it would be nice to overclock.

Yes. Go into settings and turn on smart flash on 4ext. It should work perfectly

i build gaming PCs and i totally get the desire to overclock your device.

but the phone runs a S3 snapdragon daul core at 1.2 ghz. thats PLENTY fast.

overclocking just harms battery life and makes the phone hotter which can lead to premature failing of any number of components attached to the motherboard of the phone.

So how were you guys able to fix the radio interference errors without s-off? I was under the impression that this was the only fix.

so you're saying you don't have the problem. Or at least it very rarely happens and you don't notice it. But for those with the problem, the only fix is flashing a radio. I used to think I didn't have the problem. Then I realized that gosms just prevents the error from showing up. I went back to the stock messenger and instantly got the error. If you download an app that lets you see the in db I bet you'll notice it fluctuating to -120db. Flashing a radio is the only way to fix the problem.

Correct. I don't have the problem at all. I am also using the stock messenger as well and no problems here.

This was my ? too, and to answer it yes. 4EXT works like a champ. Worth the couple of bucks. Installs fine with all of the OC ability. Just make sure you make a backup first in case you want to go back to your stock rom.

Thanks for everyone's help! Now my question is, what kernels can I flash with Midnight Rom? Ones that are real stable

Midnight ROM already comes with the anthrax kernel, which is one of the best kernels out there. You'll be doing yourself a favor if you just buckle down and get s-off though.

Edit: 4ext is also the best recovery to flash the rom and kernel.
