I keep accidentally turning my ring volume down or off

This is a bit annoying - I keep pressing the rocker switch for the volume when I handle my phone. On a few occasions I have turned it down or even off by mistake.

Is there a way to "lock" the ringer volume or does this mean a visit to the app market? Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately there is no way of avoiding this as far as I know. I agree its really annoying, but I guess we have to live with It or change our habits regarding holding the phone......

I protect my phone with one of the gel cases available on eBay. A side effect has been it solves the volume button problem because the button is harder to press.

I've done the same, a gel case is the answer. If you don't like the idea of covering up your phone I suppose changing the way you hold the phone is the only answer, in the end you'll teach your brain without realising it.

This kept happening to me and my wife - we have a hero each - hurry over to the market and llok up LockRinger. Bear in mind it mucks up your profiles a bit, but it's easy to stop/start the Lockringer service and not half as annoying as finding the volume has dropped without your noticing

nielo:cool:

I tried LockRinger out and have to say it is superb. Adding a widget so itcan be enabled disabled would be a good addition but at lease when it is on you can set the volume at at level that cannot be changed!

Will also try a cover.

cheers
