I know it may seem obvious, but this has me stumped.

I rooted a stock Galaxy S2, and than prepared that stock rom with my apps. So far so good.
Than I successfully installed CM 11, and prepared that with my apps also. Both saved as nandroids.

Than, ... waited. I was still enjoying using my ZTE Warp Sequent (Warp 2).

Than, I wanted the 4G speed, and tried, but had some trouble with finally activation.

I hadn't anticipated needing to go back to that stock rom, so Boost could activate it.
But that got done, and I've used the phone for a week or so.

Now, I've learned, I can't get WiMax, 4G on this CM11, (or any CM11), But I could on Project X, so I want to install 3.9 and get the speed.

So, here's my NEWBY question, that I can't say I just know the answer to, ...

Since I have these nandroid's saved, (sure their different modem's and cernal's and may have different internal partition's ?) but isn't it possible to go into recovery, and than, do a RESTORE ?
I mean it seams, why would I need to again install a different cernal to get it's recovery , when that's going to already be installed in the nandroid?

Doesn't make sense to me, maybe I'm missing the obvious.

Thanks.
