What internet service should i get between Comcast, dish, or direct tv.
I like Comcast because of no satellite but then I'm starting to think that satellite might be necessary but idk.

Any suggestions or other options? Thanks :)
 
I've had Comcast for 2 years now but before that I had directv bundled with AT&T I think comcast is better. I live n south florida so theres thunderstorms everyday and I couldnt deal with only watching 10 minutes of the 5 o'clock news. Comcast sends there service crews out faster.
 
I thought about Comcast. I mostly just want internet for gaming on my ps3 lol. But one problem is that they can be expensive.
 
I had AT&T DSL before my move at the end of June, and would have stuck with them if they could have offered me decent speed in the part of town I moved to, which they couldn't. Went with Comcast, and it's been fine so far. Pricing's OK with the Triple Play bundle.

We wanted to switch our TV over to DirecTV and have everything with AT&T, but our apartment has no place they could put the dish and get reception.
 
i have direct tv and i'm very pleased with the service. i do not have comcast in our area. it was either direct tv or time warner which i do not like so direct tv was the only choice to make. i did not look into dish not sure why, but i did not.

Comcast has free everywhere wifi, none of the satellite latency, no bad weather stoppages...

even if you get the dish service that bundles att or verizon slow dsl, that either does not come with everywhere wifi OR the wifi service is spotty...
of course, all this is true in my neck of the woods...ymmv....

Now, for channel variety n pricing the dish'es' rule, but you only mentioned internet...
 
Yeah lol i just want internet. I thought about at&t also but my area don't have at&t :(

Also i like the idea of no satellite if you're just using internet but what are the best deals right now?
 
i have comcast and love it. the bundle and cel, it all just works great until a power outage, then all doesnt work. cell still works though, unless towers are down. well then its just like the olden days, play a game, sit and talk together ect..........
 
I'd go with Comcast.

We looked into the satellite providers and it's a bit tricky. You get 5Gb of data over a rolling 30 days. Then they drop you down to turtle pace. And satellite speeds / latency will likely not work too well with gaming.

That being said, we only *looked* into those satellite providers. If I recall correctly, they're quite costly.
 
We are cell only, and I like TMO. We can get all the local channels OTA, and since programming is not a la carte, it isn't worth it for stuff we won't watch anyway.

All we'd need is internet connection.

Triple play would be out of the question.
