Kind of weird I did this just a couple of days before the official update is likely going to be released, but I got sick of checking for updates every day only to find no update was available.
I created a goldcard and found an Froyo RUU for the Legend and just decided to go for it. I debranded and got Froyo at the same time.
I'm now able to use my phone as a wifi hotspot... something Virgin/Bell are almost certainly going to disable.
If there's any interest I could probably put a guide together... just about everything is available already. I just used a couple of different guides and went back and forth between them.
It took me maybe 4 hours to do this... part of that was experimenting, part of it was figuring out problems along the way. Having said that I think that knowing what I know now it could be done in under an hour.
