I Love this battery life!!!

I swear, it seems like Im using this phone for longer than it would take my gnex to sleep the battery away. I could have made it over 6hrs, but still, damn good battery life.

I see you have Gnex listed as a device so that must make you even more appreciative. Gnex was my last device and the difference is amazing. I'm never doing a subpar battery again. Too much of a pain no matter how great the phone is in all other regards.

It really is insane! Coming from a Gnex which was horrible and then an S3 which was marginally better, this is amazing! :D
Was hoping to stress test it today since, after 24Hrs off the charger I was still at 67% but needed to plug it into the computer for rooting. At last check, it said I had 124Hrs until it'd be drained! Loving it.

Its funny how many of us came from the gnex. It really was an awesome phone, minus the battery life. I spent way too much time messing with kernels trying to get better battery life... I really dont know if any of it helped or not, I just stopped trying.

But this thing, just on battery size alone, is great. If they came out with kernels proven to improve battery life... we'd be plugging in once a week.

Man i envy you guys so much. My S3 battery is pathetic. My mother is using an LG Optimus F3 and the battery life is amazingly good in that little device. I got 5 and a half hours of screen time with it the other day and 25 hours in total.

With the S3 i got today 1 hour and 45 screen time (mostly browsing, twitter) and 11 hours in total. The damn phone is already showing the 15% battery warning.

I want the LG G2 so badly.

Listening to Mp3s most of the day on my phone with a little streaming tunein radio on 4g I'm usually around 55% after a 8 hr work day. My Bionic was around 15% with extended battery with same useage.

I just got the G2 yesterday and the battery is insane. It came about 60% charged out of the box and I used it for roughly 5 hours screen time VERY heavy (youtube, games, browsing) and when I went to bed it was at 25%. So far today I have used 1 hour screen time watching some youtube videos/browsing internet.....the phone is at 98%.

Im not understanding the bettery life on this phone. Its alot better than s3 last phome i had but i guess the way i use it it drains more than others. The thing is i dont stream any sort of media.

Im 69% off a 3 and a half hour discharge.
What i mostly do is surf the web use voxer and text here and there. The idle on this phome is great. I could get 10 - 15% drain over 7 hours of idle

What's going to do it, is screen on time, and brightness. And that's the same with any phone. Also, if you're using Voxer more than just once in a while, it's almost like streaming anyway. But depends on your usage. Check the little things like if you have BT or WiFi on when not connected to either, if you have GPS on and aren't using anything that requires it, check your screen brightness to see if it can be dimmed down without affecting your use, etc.

yea i dont use voxer through the whole 5 hours of use. maybe 1 hour of voxer out of it.

i have wifi off since im on 4g and blue tooth off since i dont need it and i have gps off also. my screen is at 50%

I don't understand how everyone is getting such great battery life! I've been on battery for 8 hours and 14 minutes and im at 34 percent. 39% screen time. But all day i have sent like 50 texts, taken 10 pictures, watched 2 short break videos and 1 youtube video, one google search, and ten minutes of a game all while on WiFi. I think it should be getting better than 8 hours to 34% if you guys are getting multiple days.

I think it should be getting better too when you compare it to the results some other people are getting. Maybe you have the brightness on the screen too high? What is taking up the other 61% of the battery?

I have screen 38
Google services 12
Os 12
Android system 12
Csll standby 4
Hill climb racing 3 lol
Mediaserver 3
Phone idle 2
Handcent 2
App protector pro 1
Wifi 1

We are all going to get different numbers. Only thing that matters is if it will get you through a day of your use.

With this one i can. Not with my iPhone. I charge my phone every night so i don't care about it lasting more than I'm awake.

I agree with that but im generally at 25 percent when im heading home, some days i might not be heading straight home. I guess im just jealous of those getting better battery life than me :D

Thats just because they use it differently.

Good thing is this is micro usb. Can plug it in when in the car.

For some people no phone will last them all day.

There is no way my phone will last 38 hours like that guy above. I would have leave it in my pocket most of the time. I use this laptop basically and never use WiFi. So. 17 hours on battery and 6hrs screen on is the best i can get. I would kill an iphone in half that time.

I like how many iPhone comparisons there are in this thread haha. I'm not dissatisfied with the battery life, but it would be quite epic to get 30 hours

You can. I've had readings of 120hours estimate. 3G, screen and YouTube take care of that quickly.

The 2main battery killers are the screen and the data connection. Some people don't do a lot of internet stuff or don't use their data a lot. Mainly WiFi. All these things affect battery.

Of you want to check, turn off data when you're not using the internet and you'll see.
