I may come back...

Well, i got the S6 on release and was THRILLED to get it. But the honeymoon is over now. The battery life is atrocious on my S6. I use it a fair amount during the day, ok, i use it a lot. I usually have to charge it 2 times a day. I like the phone, i love its looksand the 64gb version is plenty of memory for me. But i long for the waterproof S5 that is sitting on a book shelf in my bedroom. The 16gb S5 was basically out of room for storage, but it worked for me ok.
I know the S5 battery life has been an issue for some as well, but it was MUCH better than the S6.
So.... if i come back, will a bigger SD card (32 or 64) help me with the storage issues? I don't do tons of games, but i have pictures and music. I am pretty sure i can go back to the the S5 and be fine with it. I miss the OtterBox Preserver case. Maybe i wil see if there's an S7 for slated for next spring, that will improve on the S6 by a few light years....

I have a 64 gB extSDcard in my S5, and have all of the apps that can be configured to do so, default to save their data/images on the SDcard.

I have never had the problems you seem to be running into, in fact, here is a picture of the phone's memory.

Yeah I would definitely stick with the S5. A phone with a non-removable battery just spells for disaster. At least with the S5, if the battery life is not to your liking, you can opt for an extended battery or a system to swap out multiple different batteries. If the battery sucks on the S6, your pretty much screwed.

I know some people will say it's how you manage your phone and you should turn down your brightness and manage your apps. I don't feel you should have to make that sacrifice just to have good battery life. Some phones batteries just suck plain and simple. Like the GS3. The battery on that phone was HORRIBLE no matter what you do.

That was pretty much the main reason I chose to go with the S5 over the S6. That and it was 200 dollars cheaper.

I don't want to have to think about my battery life all day long. I felt the S5 was decent, so i think I'll just go back to it. Plus, being water "waterproof" is a huge plus to me.

I leave my S5's screen bright on max most of the time, older eyes can't see those things out in the sunlight

Well, i did it. I am in the process of setting up my S5 the way i had it originally, or at least close to it. I actually wish i wouldn't have just jumped on the S6 bandwagon. Not a bad phone by any means, just a bit disappointed in the loss of a few features, as well as poor battery life.
