I need a longer ringtone on calendar reminders

I am using the stock Google calendar in my HTC Inspire 4G. It works fine and reminders do work. The problem is that my choices for a reminder tone are all less than one second long. Even at max volume, that's not enough to "remind" me to do something. I don't always look at my screen either, so I seem to regularly miss the very reminders I needed.

Any idea how I can get to one of the longer phone ringtones or an mp3 file to set as my calendar reminder tone?

There is an app you can use to setup reminders if that might help you too.
Calendar snooze I think is the app name.

You can try the zedge app to download louder/longer tones

Two apps that are very helpful are rings extended for enabling you to use any tone you want, and ringdroid, to cut your mp3s into the size ringtone you want. If you already have the music, that is all you need.
