Help I need help picking a 50$ phone

So I need help picking a 50$ Or 75$ phone. I thought the LG G3 would be a great phone but I’m kinda new to the android scene so idk. I was going to root the phone and put something like lineage is on it. Help? (The phone can be used :))
 
Rooting something that cheap may not be worth the effort.

That being said, I have excellent results with ZTE devices in that price range.

Good, solid phones for the money.

If you don't load them up with apps full of analytics then they are rather capable units in my experience.

Disable as much bloatware as you can, install a fast SD card, and enjoy.

At that price range (mine were $40) I wound up with two of them.

I watch news and movies on one, and game with the other.

If you do this, pull the SIM card out of the device that is not being used as a phone and then disable the notification(s) for this.

Use it via Wi-Fi.
Use the other one with your network.

I wouldn't keep posting that Amazon link if you are promoting that phone.

The reviews are not good.

Reviews are not everything, I know, but some things sound worrysome.

First, the stats sound amazing. Too good for the cost, actually.

The description states that it has a 'scratch resistant' screen.
As a long time wearer of glasses, I take that to mean 'plastic with a scratch resistant coating'.
I also know that 'scratch resistant' basically means nothing.
I don't know for sure if the screen is plastic or glass, but I will say that I don't desire a plastic screen. That alone would be a deal breaker for me.

I clean all my phones the same way, and my glass screens are flawless, while the plastic one has scratches.

It appears that the battery life needs attention, and the fact that the phone is uncommon makes it difficult to get accessories for.

I am not knocking it, this is just what others have said.

I have had very good luck with my cheap ZTE phones,

The screen resolution of your mentioned device, along with the 16GB internal memory all sound great- and surpass my device.

But, if things such as the charger jack being proprietary and other issues I mentioned are true, then I would have to pass.

The phone sounds great on paper (or screen, as it is).

But I would want to inspect one in hand before I could endorse any product that I am not familiar with on a personal level.

My experiences with Samsung are only noteworthy because of the amount of bad ones, hahaha.

I can tell someone where to dump that Samsung, but be sure to have another phone with the number of a plumber handy...

Hahaha, just kidding.

I personally would like to see a phone with a minimum 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory with the Go OS.

I was amazed at the lack of bloatware/spyware and the efficient way it works on my crappy little VLE5.

I swore I would never use another 1GB phone, but it is keeping up nicely with my other 2GB devices.

Sure, gaming hard puts stress on it, but it is still amazing compared to the ZTE 812 Maven that I had long ago.

Right now, even with a full supply of added user apps (including two large games, a large VOIP app, and a large VPN app, the system and my apps only use 3.05GB of internal memory on it, out of 5.19GB available to the user.
 
I would have recommended Samsung, but I don't do it as I'm experiencing really bad condition my Samsung device as of now. As per my recent experience, I felt that Xiaomi is playing well around..Check out Xiaomi model that fits your budget
 
It's good to see you participating, @noidodroid, but before taking the time and effort to post helpful info, you might want to note the OP's date, and/or when the original poster was last here. In this thread's case, the OP hasn't been back since posting--six months ago!

Thanks for your opinion. IMHO all info whether new or old is good. And the more that add's to subject matter the more it helps the next person who comes along to read it (even if the original guy isn't around). 2 cents
