Root I need help quick!

My screen on my nexus 4 isnt working,well the top half isnt i cant even unlock my phone so im about to unroot it because i know rooting voids the warranty but im thinking in case i cant unroot it can i still get warranty since this isnt a software problem?

Sorry for not getting to it sooner. But if you're trying to unroot it, the only thing that matters is that you can boot it into the bootloader. Boot it into fastboot, connect to a computer, and then flash a factory image either through the flash all script that it comes with, using a toolkit, or doing so manually. That will get you back to stock, wipe out root, and erase all you data.

Seems pretty weird if part of the screen works, maybe damage from water or from it falling?

Never really heard of situation like this TBH.


Have you tried flashing another ROM as well? Maybe its just acting up. Or tried using a touch recovery as well? To see if it truly doesn't work?

If it doesn't then I guess its gotta be hardware related.

I un rooted it and everything they're sending it in and I should get it back in 2 weeks hopefully....for now I use some Nokia flip phone :/
