Root I need help with Custom ROMs

I'm brand new to this whole root thing and don't really understand how this all works. I mostly used apple products and Jailbreak is so straightforward and all of this is just confusing. I have my phone rooted and a custom recovery and now I just need to make a step towards getting roms but I can't seem to find any for this phone or if it even matters what phone it's for. So basically I was hoping someone could give me a list of compatible ROMs and maybe a starter guide of sorts for things I could do specifically with this phone. This probably is a lot to ask for but any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

First things first, welcome. It always nice to see someone who can actually use help from me! I can help you with a couple of things you asked about in your post.
A) it does matter! Only a rom for your device will work for your device ( it's possible that there may be some exceptions, but none that I can speak for). Be ery carefull because your device may become permanently damaged from an incorrect rom.
B) compatible roms will be labeled compatible. There are 2 in this forum, but they are the only 2 right now.
C) read read read. The more you can learn the more you will be able to help yourself and others. I think you will find most folks around here to be congenial though.

Ps. Remember every device is different. If you switch phones you may need to relearn all new info
