Help I need help with my phone application bar!

hello, I have the sony ericsson xperia 10 and last night I must have fallen asleep on it as not the application bar, which usually sits at the bottom, is now on the side of the phone and I cannot seem to change it! Also all my application icons have no words under them! How do I change the application bar as this is really bugging me?!

Have you tried switching it off and taking the battery out for a moment then reinserting it to see if this resets everything?

Also try Menu>Settings>Sound & Display and ensure orientation is ticked.
