I need help with screen lock please

I put a lock on my home screen because, I lost my phone and it scared me. I now want to remove the lock, but cannot find a way to do so. Can you please help me with this. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (Unlocked-meaning I did not purchase a plan with it) I use Straight Talk. model # sgh-1317.... any information would be appreciated.

Normally you can go
Menu
Settings
Lock screen options
Enter your screen lock and select none

But if this is greyed out it's normally because you have something installed that requires security. Eg you cannot have vpn services set up or some mail server sync services unless you have lock screen security. You have to disable/remove such services to be able to remove the lock screen security
