I need My Imei Number.

have bought a hero and received just the phone on its own, have managed to sort out most of the problems so far. However my provider wants the imei (?) number on the phone and I just cannot find it. Can anyone out there please help.

Dial *#06# and, assuming it's like any other phone, it will pop up on the screen
