I have a Samsung Ace and it is rooted. When I was doing a back up of mi current Rom the Rom manager asked me to clik one of like 6 names in a list i do not now what was the one thet I picked. But when I did then I whent and did a Back up of mi current Rom and the phone just died... Need help. and Please I am from PR. So excuse mi bad english.

Sorry for this but you should have read up on ROM Manager. It is not supported by the ace (although the official Cyanagenmod kernal has it working), and it is notorious for hard bricking the phone.

The ONLY solution to this to take phone to service centre for replacement and tell them it did it when you were updating via KIES, and hope they buy the excuse.

When you get a replacement phone, use Clockworkmod backup 5.0.2.6 as it fully works without issue.

Sorry for your loss

You have one last hope!

Try this:

Thankfully, Samsung has created an alternate hardware level interface that will force the device into recovery or download mode, allowing the user to flash a new image to his phone. 2 micro USB cables of any length.
I recommend these: http://www.monoprice.com/products/pr...seq=1&format=2 .
You can get them from a local store if you want, but never pay more than two dollars for a micro USB cable, especially in this case seeing as you are going to rip one apart soon.
A soldering iron.
Not for soldering your phone though, it is for soldering two of the wires in a micro USB cable together.
You can get one of these at a local Radio Shack or home improvement store.
Rosin core solder
Any solder works but rosin core is the easiest to find and its really easy to melt
You can get this at a local Radio Shack or home improvement store.
A 301K ohm resistor
Notice the K. A 301K ohm resistor is different from a 301 ohm resistor!
You can get one of these at a local Radio Shack or from Amazon.com
If you cant find a 301k resistor at Radio Shack, and don

Hi Team,
I have bought a samsung galaxy s2 (i9100G) from india(currently based at dubai) on february 2012, after being enthusiastic about android 4, i ve tried updating my 2.3 version to android 4.0 using odin, following the steps mentioned in one of the sites.

it failed unfortunately and the screen now shows the triangle, and phone doesnt come to download mode. tried all possibilities of buying a jig in dubai, but not available. its available in couple of online sites but i dont use a credit card so no possibility of buying online. could you please advice,if any shops sell jig cheaply in dubai.

also i can solder one as u described, using 3 100k resistors since i am proficient hobby electronics. but not sure how could i identify the wires 4 and 5 mentioned in your post since i could not find the attachment.

I will be more than happy if you could help me on this..

You can possibly send it to the service center. They will fix it in no time.
