I need something faster than the Eris, but not the Droid

I just tried it in the native app and I see about the same lag. When I type, even slow, it just can't do it. Sometimes it will even forget the auto correct when it gets too far behind. *I will not make an iPhone comment here :o*

I also do a soft reset every day.

I also need to use Handcent because it splits the texts for me when they go 160+

Thank you so much for your help!
Mm I try. :)
Only other suggestion I could give is to maybe check and see how much memory your device has.. kill a ton of apps, and see if it's less laggy.
OR maybe you just type at the speed of light and not even the snapdragon could keep up :P Cause I swear I type fast as hell on my Eris and it keeps up with me. :p:p

Are you serious? Is there some kind of specific way of telling me how fast you type on the device? It's just that I want to see what the issue is with me.

60M of available memory.

Edit:
What are your keyboard settings? I have auto correct stuff on. Is that slowing me down?
-I'm gonna have to say this: the iPhone keyboard kept up with my speedy fingers. HOWEVER, I will never go to the iPhone. Just needed to clear my name.

Ouch. I try to keep my memory at bout 80-92 if I have a task killer installed. At the moment I don't but I still get decent speeds from my phone.
Or wait, I sense you're talking about APPLICATION space?

I have advanced task killer (paid version).

In the top it says: "Available Memory: 54M"
ahhh, and do you kill any of the apps you're not using regularly?
Also, the ignore list sometimes contains apps you don't need open at all times.

Right now my ignore list is:
Battery Left, and the task killer itself

The apps I have open right now:
Messages
Clock
Mail
Gmail (darn you Gmail ... I don't even use you)

54M avail

Why would I take the task killer off the list? That means that the task killer would be killed.

I have auto kill for every 30 min

I'll kill it, and then add clock to the ignore list.

How do I find memory avail now?

I am not trying to be rude, trust me. I'm just stupid when it comes to this.

What is the point of having it kill itself? Doesn't that mean that the auto kill won't work? Anyway, right now, with everything closed, I am getting 73M of avail memory. Good? Bad?

Not too much better. And killing Task Killer itself will free up a tad bit more memory, but if you have the auto kill on I guess just leave it on the ignore list.
If that doesn't help your keyboard lag then I'm afraid I'm all out of suggestions. :(

How are you able to get so much more than me?

Do I have something running that is hiding from me.

Don't abandon me. lol Should I pick up a new phone? Verizon is great at that. They can't give support, but they'll give you all the new devices you want.

Update:

When I quit out of everything in the task manager I get 97M. :D :D :D But, sense was terminated although I only may be quitting the browser and mail.
