Root I need to disable my power button.

My power button is on the Fritz, does anyone know how I can disable it on boot?

I can power off and reboot through my widgetzoid button but it keeps turning my screen on/off and making the power prompt appear.

Any help appreciated.

I've got an lg optimus l9 and an f3 at the moment but kinda miss my premia root access and stuff.

Tried it. :( doesn't resolve issue.

My power button is pretty much always halfway pressed in essence which means it randomly activates.
These only work if the button is a pain to make work, whereas mine works too well

huawei gives you a year warranty as long as you have the receipt. send it to them with the receipt and theyll fix it for

Best thing to do if your an instant gratification kinda person take it apart and UN jam the button

I tried. :P it's the actual switch that's shot and I can't find an equivalent I trust.

I tried flat out disabling it only to realize that I can't reboot the phone from cwm without it (I just removed the button and taped over the hole

Ofcourse you can get to cwm without it god I've been telling you to use notification toggle it will give softouch control but it means you always need it plugged in and in some cases you will need a car charger thanx to the bug that exists you should have no problem should your battery die

sounds like you need to disable the power menu..only way to that is decompiling and recompiling framework and system ui. when i was trying to do a power menu mod, i was able to remove half of it, but then somehow it disabled my home button.

I still own the phone, I'll see if this helps. Thanks

It'll definitely work lol, I just tested it... Now I can't access my power menu at all... time for a battery pull, and cwm restore. It'll remap the f****** Shiznit out of your hardware keys lol...

Happy days with Xposed, especially with nano just coming out... :-)

BTW for anyone wondering...
Xblast
Xuimod
Xtheme(the hue xthemes ;-))
Ex-themer
There all xposed framework mods...

Combine them with a slick debloated ROM( like nano, darkside, or dusk), and you golden. They all work great with this tank of a phone. I've got all the features I've got on my nexus 7 running aokp.

woot root yay :-D
