I really need some help

Hi everyone,

I know that the solution to this problem will most likely be relatively simple but as i am new to rooting and adding roms to my phone i am in need of help with a problem i have encountered.

earlier today i rooted my phone using the "onetouchroot" method, after doing this i wanted to install a rom onto my phone called MIUI fascinate MTD. Following many guides instructions i installed rom manager and created a "flash clockwork mod recovery." Then i downloaded the mod onto my computer (didn't unzip it) and placed in into the root folder of my phone, i then went onto my phone and pressed "install ROM from sd card" and i clicked the mod file. The phone then goes into recovery and this is where my problems start, on my phone when i start recovery i only get 5 options (all in blue text BTW) they are:

Reboot system now
apply sdcard:update.zip
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
format internal sd-card

from here i assumed i had to press apply sdcard:update.zip but when i do i get errors in red saying

E: failed to verify whole-file signature
E: signature verification failed
installation aborted

Any help with this would be appreciated because i would really like to be able to install roms on my phone.

BTW i have a telus samsung fascinate running android 2.2

This is the rom i am using:

how i rooted my phone:

looks like its booting into the stock recovery (where you cannot flash zips) rather than the clockworkmod recovery that comes with rom manager.

Asked mods to move this to your device forum as you'll get a better response there than the custom roms forum (as its not a help forum)
