I have to admit that I regret buying my Samsung Galaxy S2 LTE Skyrocket and here's why...
The Skyrocket was released in November of 2011 (at least by Rogers Wireless in Canada). I bought mine in Jan 2012 and within 3 months the Galaxy S3 was released and the S2 LTE fell into obscurity. This phone had an incredibly short lifespan, has very little support and it's virtually unknown.
Even though the phone is only months older than the S3 updates from Samsung have stopped and probably for good. I don't think there is a chance in hell that the any new version newer than 4.1.2 will ever be released even though Skyrocket is very similar to the S3.
Although my phone runs well and I have not had any serious problems I am disappointed with the lack of updates and battery life. In addition, occasionally the phone will lag and infuriate me, I've actually missed calls because the phone won't allow me to answer.
Another thing worth mentioning is that there are very few accessories available for the Skyrocket compared to other versions of the S2
One thing I have learned from this is that I will not buy another "odd-ball" phone.
I would love to hear from anyone about their experience with their Galaxy S2 Skyrocket.
