Root I rooted my pjone but no 2.3?

I used this guide to root my phone http://androidforums.com/lg-optimus-v/280659-optimus-v-rooting-roms-tutorials-thread.html I used method 1 and watched the video. The root was successful but I still have 2.2, not 2.3..... Anyone have any thoughts?

To get 2.3 you will need to load a ROM. Read farther down the page to #3, choose one of the 2.3 ROM's there, AOSP's gingerbread Rom or Zefies cm7 build and load it up. Then you will have 2.3.

I suggest Zefies cm7 build, seems most people prefer this over AOSP's gingerbread Rom

Be sure to make a nandroid backup so that whatever you do from here on out can be undone!
