So I was being really dumb and of course stupid me descided to see what would happen if I pushed the R1 button underneath the battery cover for the galaxy S5. I didn't push it hard, it's just slightly indented. I haven't noticed a change in anything. What does it even do? Will I be okay?

I wouldn't think that Samsung would put something that could harm a 500 dollar cell phone so easily for someone to just kill their phone.Hmm, I was curious so I looked around.

Thanks for that Tear Down link. I read it all and noted a few Easy Miss-Steps are lurking in the snake pits. Loved the guy's descriptions. He is pretty sharp.
My question still remains, did he manage to actually put that thing back together and it work?
Those aren't buttons, they are part of the antenna assembly. disturbing them can damage the antenna array, causing you to contort in an odd fashion in order to acquire signal...Something like this...
Well I haven't noticed a difference in my signal so I must be fine

this is true, they are just covers for the antenna pigtails I believe.
