I switched back to Android!!

I was on this forum a while ago when I had an EVO 4G. I liked that phone but got tired of it and switched to an Iphone 4s. So I've been appleified for the last year or so.

Anyway I've recently moved down to Texas and realized that 3g SUCKS down here and is almost non existent. So after fighting with spring they did a contract buyback thing where I send my phone back and they will waive my ETF.

So last night I switched to AT&T since AT&T rocks down here and got a Galaxy S3. So far I'm pretty impressed with what samsung has done. I hear good things about android 4.1 and the Google Now and am pretty excited about it.

A couple questions I do have though:

1. How do I stop the gallery from showing my Picasa accounts and other shared media from other computers in the house when connected to WIFI. I only want it to show what is on the phone. I can there is a settings I can change to just view the ones on my phone but it doesnt save so when I go back in it shows me all the albums again

2. What are some cool (must have) apps?
 
My favourite apps:

Nintendo64 emulator
Pixlr (photo editing program)
Mobile banking
RemoteMouse (Use your phone for a wireless keyboard and mouse for your PC)

Welcome back chap, you chose a good phone :)

For 1)

Try going to settings>more options (directly under data usage) scroll to the bottom and tap Nearby devices.

Flick File Sharing on and check out all the options on that page, specifically "shared contents" and "upload from other devices"
 
When your in the gallery press menu, view by and select 'content in device' this will only show pictures that are stored on your phone.
