I think its going back

The price you pay to have an open/customizable OS. iOS just works and I love how if you loose or replace the phone with icloud or itunes you get everything back exactly the way you had it including application settings with just a few click. My understanding is that you can sort of do that with titanium backup etc which you need to purchase. I switched to the S3 because I am bored with iOS and especially the iPhone 4S as the S3 hardware blows it away. Once the iphone 5 comes out Ill switch back and pass the S3 to someone else on my team. We test and support these devices.

Both platforms have their ups and downs. I enjoy playing with both.

Its true, between the hours of 9-6 M-F my phone sits in my car.

That is a bad place to leave your phone all day. Cars get hot inside during the day and heat destroys lithium-Ion batteries and electronics. Not to mention leaving an expensive phone in your vehicle is like putting a sign on the window that says "break into me".

Had the phone almost 3 weeks now. I've owned 4 iPhones before this, and I knew nothing about android, just that I was bored with Apple. I love the phone size/screen, and all the cool things I can do with Android.....but basic functionality is just poor, and I'm thinking i'm unwilling to compromise on that.

My issues are:

Poor wifi -- takes a long time to connect, and when it does its slow compared to my iphone and ipad.

Terrible audio with video -- Took about 15 movies over the weekend of friends water skiing. Not one of them came out ok, everything sounds like chipmunks. It works fine in a quiet room, so I'm assuming its a software problem.

Bluetooth doesn't always autoconnect in my car.

Battery life compared to my iphone. Not even close. I have juicedefender, tasker, read all the threads.....its just poor.

No integration with my BMW. This is one of the biggest. I'm spoiled being able to control my iphone through idrive. I've tried hotspotting for the iphone, but thats just a PITA.

I'm pretty disappointed, I really wanted an alternative to Apple, I'm tired of all their proprietary crap.....:(

Um...no offense but the S3s battery kills the iPhone.

Yup; increased temp = increased drain. I believe you really don't want to go above 104F. (I think its in the manual.)
