Now I am bummed out. I almost ordered online last night but waited so I could call and get confirmation that I am grandfathered into my unlimited data plan as well as the current data discount promotion I am on. I came home for lunch to hop online and order this phone as my DINC is starting to act up a lot more as of late and they are out of stock. I won't be able to check any local stores until the weekend.

Anyone have any idea when Verizon might be getting more stock?
 
I just ordered mine in store today. The guy who took my order said that it will be processed today, which means I could see it tomorrow via FedEx. Check your local store to see if they can do the same for you...
 
When i went to Verizon they were out of stock too. I just had them order it in Store, came in 3 business days.
 
I just called my local store and they said non in stock within a 60 mile radius, well that's as far as they checked. Said they couldn't order it for me because the warehouse is out. :(
 
I had an unexpected $30 discount so I justified the overnight Fedex charge of $12~

I ordered it online at 2pm and had it in my hands at 12:30 lunchtime the next day.
 
Called my local store as I was planning on finally pulling the trigger tonight or in the morning..none within a 30 mile radius. None show in Bestbuy either. Called a few authorized retailers-no luck...either they had very low stock to start or this phone is selling way more than anticipated. Nobody was able to give me an estimated time either...I really hope this isn't another incredible debacle...

Edit: Called Verizon customer service and the lady told me there are only 12 left unsold in the US but that later this week there should be a lot more available.
 
Yeah, I finally decided it was worth paying full price for the Maxx, hoped online this afternoon.... out of stock! Damn!
 
I am planning on going to the Verizon store Wednesday to upgrade to this phone.... I'm just going to assume now that it won't be in stock when I get there... bummer.
 
I ordered from letstalk this morning. They shipped it today and should have on Wed (I did not pay extra for overnight or 2 day shipping). They are still showing in stock. If you check around "google it" you can get a coupon good for 25% off. Got the phone for less then $190.

I looked on LetsTalk, but I don't see a way to keep my current unlimited plan upgrading through them
 
On the page you select your services, one of the options is:


  • Upgrades Only - Keep My Current Data Feature (View Details for Important Disclaimer)
    • If you are an existing Verizon Wireless smartphone customer please select this feature to retain your current data feature.
    • If you do not currently have a Verizon Wireless data feature, your current data feature is no longer supported by Verizon Wireless, or your current data feature is not compatible with the new phone you have selected, we will automatically provision the 2GB Data Package for $30.00/month on your line of service.
    • The price of your current data feature will not display in the cart during checkout, but will continue to be billed by Verizon Wireless on your monthly service bill.
 
Now Verizon's site says it will shop by 2/9. Not too bad, but now of course, I hesitate.... cold feet...
 
When I ordered online, it "deleted" my unlimited data plan and then added it to my new device for $29.99 without me having to do anything.
 
Strange... I live in a highly dense area and both stores I went to had them in stock. I guess most people were hesitant and waited for some test runs on the battery and now they're selling like bieber tickets.
 
So I see that if I order today it should ship on 02/09, cool that's not long. So after I log on to My Verizon the phone comes up as $249 but when I go to order it the price jumps to $299. What's up with that?

I am really thinking about just ordering the phone direct from Motorola at full retail to avoid extending my contract. Anyone see any issues getting it right from the Motorola website?

You can order from Verizon online without extending your contract too - just in case you didn't know.
 
I ended up calling LetsTalk today and voila, delivery tomorrow before 3! Upgrade was actually cheaper through them too than at Verizon by $20, and I was able to keep all my current unlimited plan the same.

Thanks. I just wouldn't have to pay tax on a $650 purchase ordering through the Motorola site.

How does that work when upgrading. I am just worried that if I upgrade ordering through a 3rd party website non of my current promotions will be honored by Verizon.

Same thing happened to me last Friday. I took a screenshot of the $249 price and then called cust service and forced them to honor it, which they did.

I was going to take some screenshots and call them and hassle them about it today to see if I could get the $249 price and they changed it back to $299. Bastards. lol
