So I installed the Evil Eris v3 thingamajig using the Rooting for dummies thread. But I wanna go back, so will a factory reset take care of that for me?

A factory reset will not, unless you've flashed the RUU first. Here is a post from Frisco that should help:

yes, i was afraid of root. i HAD to find an easy way to go back.

and for those of us that forgot to think, didn't do a nanbackup, is there any way at all to go back to stock if I ever wanted to?
