I want 2.1 Back!

Okay. I bought a captivate a few days ago and it came already stock with 2.2. My problem is, I want 2.1 back. I had 2.1 on my other android device and it seems as though 2.2 still has a few kinks. I CANNOT figure out how to get back to 2.1. If anyone can help, thanks!

I personally dont understand wanting to go back to 2.1 you're going to lose features but if thats what you want this will show you how to make it happen.
