Root I want it all and I want it to work

I'm tired of Froyo and just tech savvy enough to be dangerous. So I've been lurking trying to learn as much as I can about rooting. My biggest question is: Is the 2.3.5 EP3HA leak as reliable as the stock operating system? Can I flash it and forget it? Or will I have to tweak?

Honestly, it's stable but it still has some bugs. It's more stable than stock Froyo, despite the bugs.

I personally hated the stock Froyo ROM, that thing made me on a daily basis want to throw the phone out the window out of frustration.

If you're not willing to tweak I'd say wait for the OTA to update to it but who knows when that will be. That's why many of us, including myself, have loaded third-party ROMs like GummyCharged GBE 2.0 patched to 2.1 with iMoseyOn's v3.1 kernel with the EP3HA modems.

I do have a complete tutorial over at http://www.toms-world.org/android.

Short answer: No. Need to wait for Verizon to push out GB so the devs can get their hands on the source. Until then, it's gonna be band-aids and duct tape with the leaks.
