Help I want to make a folder

I am very new to the "android" phone and For the life of me I can't figure out to make folders to group my aps Sighs I am sure it's simple however ... I am having a brain fart lol ?

On the home screen:
Long press on a blank area where you want the folder,
Select Folders
New Folder
It will appear, open it and long press the bit where it says "Folder" near the X to rename it.
While it's open, go to your applications and long press on one to drag it to the folder which will remain open in the background.
