I want wireless charging!! why is this not a feature?

The number one thing that phone makers need to address, above ALL other wacky features is this:

wireless phone charging- teensy usb connectors always mess up- they gather lint, and don't connect reliably. Cheap usb cables get intermittnet and have to be wiggled just so. Since the battery doesn't last very long (my huge zerolemon now doesn't last the day), I'm constantly fussing with it to make sure that is is truly making a charging connection.

My friggin toothbrush charges wirelessly, why doesn't my phone??

Phone makers need to make it super easy and reliable to charge your phone.

...and to connect to your phone. I have pretty much given up trying to get music onto or pictures off of my phone. Kies has never worked for me. Early on, USB worked, then they update the phone OS and it hasn't worked since.

Why is this so hard?

What phone do you have?

I think most phones now do include Qi wireless charging. My Nexus 4 does(although I've never bothered to spend $$$ on a wireless charger). I've never had an issue with USB cables though.

I have a Galaxy S3

I'll look into the Qi charging system- thanks! I run a zerolemon huge battery, so putting in the qi charging receiver might be tricky but I bet I can make it work.

Every cell phone I've ever had- going back to around 2000- has been finicky about charging. Old ones had a cradle that you had to wiggle just so. Now, I find that I need to get the cable to seat just so. I think the jack gets filled with pocket lint.

If a zerolemon battery is not lasting through the day, something has GOT to be wrong. Don't those come in like 4k capacity and up?

There's a physical hack for the S3 to enable wireless charging. I was never successful in gathering all the supplies though. Search YT videos for it. It utilizes the charger and back piece for the old Palm Pre.

Wireless charging is great. I have an N5 with the official (if expensive) charger. In fact I have two. Best feature is the magnets though. I have one charger on my bedside table and another mounted in my car. The N5 just sticks to it magnetically when I'm driving around. It is rare that I have to plug in these days.

If there were standards for the magnets, you could buy an elegant magnetic car charger. Mine is home made...
